The SCAN Regional SACT Advisory Group discuss regional matters relating to Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT). The group reports directly to the SCAN Regional Cancer Planning Group along with board Chief Executive Officers from NHS Borders, NHS Dumfries & Galloway, NHS Fife and NHS Lothian through the Regional Cancer Advisory Group.
The aims of the Regional SACT Advisory Group are to:
- Promote the highest standard of cancer care across the region.
- Ensure that cancer services in SCAN fully meet the needs of patients.
- Monitor the compliance of CEL30 across SCAN and document any areas of non-compliance including mitigating action.
- Participate the in the governance pathway to ensure the safe delivery of SACT across SCAN Heath Boards.
- Act as the Governance route for the SCAN Capacity Modelling Tool.
The group is chaired by the SCAN Regional SACT Lead clinician and group membership consists of board SACT lead Clinicians, Pharmacists, Nurses and management colleagues.
